HIDEAWAY # 3
Scotland , a land blessed with landscapes of indescribable beauty, rich in splendor and entrenched in history. This photograph was taken in the northwest region of the country, in-between the towns of Ullapool and Scourie.
Throughout Scotland one finds reminisces of their ancient and fascinating past. The surrounds of crystal clear water made this location particularly beautiful. Fortunately on the day that I photographed the scene, heavy weather had moved in from the Atlantic Ocean , bringing with it dark cloud which created a moody atmosphere.
In the ghostly hush, with just the sound of the trickling stream to break the silence, one could almost hear the thunder of hooves as William Wallace led his army against the invasion of the English. A county which boasts more that 700 islands, gently rolling landscapes, majestic mountains and a gathering of inland lakes, one can understand why Scotland is renowned as a photographer’s paradise. |
